Are floating pond aerators noisy?
Sometimes we will get comments that floating pond aerators are noisy. You must remember that floating pond aerators are used to oxygenate water and move large volumes of water. The smallest model moves 500 gallons per minute, that is 5000 pounds of water! So the sound of water moving is to be expected. If your pond or lake is near a location where the sound of water is objectionable then a different aeration solution or a floating fountain may be a better choice.
