Long summers, busy shorelines
The Shuswap and Okanagan are where much of BC spends its summer. Shuswap Lake's long arms, Mara Lake, and Okanagan, Kalamalka, Skaha and Wood lakes are lined with cabins, docks and family beaches that see use from May to September.
All that warmth has a downside along the shore. Weeds creep into swim areas, muck settles in sheltered bays and floating debris collects against docks. Invasive aquatic weeds are a known concern in Okanagan valley lakes.
Keep the water moving
Still water is what lets weeds and muck settle in. An Arbrux pump run as a circulator keeps water moving around your waterfront, discourages weed growth and improves clarity, clearing a 60-foot diameter of lake bottom with no chemicals involved.
Sweep a whole shoreline
For a long beach or several docks, the 360° Oscillator turns one pump into a sweeping system. It rotates through a programmable range from 0 to 360 degrees, moving 20 degrees every 20 minutes, and runs on an efficient 12-volt motor. Choose a mount to match your dock: hitch hinge, dock plate, post or truss.
The Oscillator Bundle packages the pump, oscillator, mount and mooring ropes together.
If your bay freezes
The main body of Okanagan Lake often stays open through winter, but shallow bays, the arms of Shuswap Lake and many smaller or higher lakes in the region can freeze. Where they do, re-aim the same pump toward the surface, 4 to 6 feet down, and it holds a 40-foot circle open around the dock.

Will circulation clear weeds that are already established?

My lake never freezes. Is this still useful?
Yes. Think of it as a summer circulator. If a cold winter does freeze your bay, you will already have the protection in place.
